Internal reporting system for reporting unlawful conduct

Based on Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the protection of whistleblowers (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"), and Act No. 253/2008 Coll., on Certain Measures Against the Legalisation of Proceeds of Crime and Financing of Terrorism (hereinafter referred to as the "AML Act"), COINMATE a.s. has established an internal reporting system, which is intended for employees and other individuals who, in connection with work or other similar activities under Section 2(3) of the Act, have become aware of unlawful conduct that constitutes a criminal offence, an administrative offence with a penalty of at least CZK 100,000, violates the Act, or breaches a legal provision falling within one of the areas defined by the Directive (EU).*

Reports may be submitted either anonymously or with the identification of the reporting person.

Anonymous reports are received and processed in accordance with the AML Act, and reports with identification are processed in accordance with the Act.

Reports to COINMATE a.s. may be made:

  • in written form by sending to the registered address of COINMATE a.s. marked "Do not open – ANONYMOUS WHISTLEBLOWER / WHISTLEBLOWER" (the reporting person chooses whether to provide identification),
  • electronically to the established mailbox at [email protected],
  • orally before the competent person, who shall prepare a record of such report,
  • orally through a telephone conversation with the competent person with audio recording, provided the reporting person consents to such recording.

The competent person pursuant to Act No. 171/2023 Coll. is Mgr. Jan Šobora.

The competent person is available by telephone between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Receipt of reports is confirmed within 7 days, and processing takes place within 30 days, although in more complex cases this period may be extended to up to 90 days.

Data concerning the identity of the reporting person are protected and accessible exclusively to the competent person. The company has adopted technical and organisational measures to ensure confidentiality and protection of whistleblowers.

Reports may also be submitted, in addition to the methods mentioned above, through the Ministry of Justice at https://oznamovatel.justice.cz/chci-podat-oznameni/.


*Areas regulated by European Union legal provisions include, inter alia, the area of:

  • financial services, statutory audit and other verification services, financial products and financial markets,
  • corporate income tax,
  • prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism,
  • consumer protection,
  • compliance with product requirements including their safety,
  • transport safety, carriage and road traffic operations,
  • environmental protection,
  • food and feed safety and animal protection and health,
  • radiation protection and nuclear safety,
  • competition, public auctions and public procurement,
  • protection of internal order and security, life and health,
  • protection of personal data, privacy and security of electronic communications networks and information systems,
  • protection of the financial interests of the European Union, or
  • functioning of the internal market including protection of competition and state aid under European Union law.
